Textile Art, Embroidery and Beadwork by Anne Waller

Textile Art Works

Textile Artwork - Clematis 2003

This piece was worked by free machining onto water soluble stabiliser to create a lace effect flower. This was then applied to a fabric printed background and enhanced with further machine and hand stitching.

The original is still available - it is temporarily on show at Davenport House Doctors Surgery in Harpenden - to cheer up the patients.

Textile Artwork - Floral Fantasy 2006

I created this by machine embroidery on a fabric painted background. Angelina fibres were also used on the background fabric to give added sparkle. It was finished with hand embroidery and glittering beads.

The original is still available - it is temporarily on show at Davenport House Doctors Surgery in Harpenden - another one to cheer up the patients.

Mixed Media Textile Art - Sunflower 2007

I created this piece by first needle felting and bonding wool and silk fibres to a commercial felt background. Free machine embroidery was then worked to give additional detail and texture.

The original is still available - it is temporarily on show at the Carpenters Arms, Southdown, Harpenden.

Mixed Media Textile Art - Floral Fantasy 2007

Again this was created by first needle felting and bonding wool and silk fibres to a commercial felt background. Free machine embroidery was then worked to give additional detail and texture. Hand embroidery and tiny beads were used to create extra texture and sparkle to the flower centre.

The original is still available - it is temporarily on show at the Carpenters Arms, Southdown, Harpenden.

Mixed Media Collage with Textile Work - Stormy Beach 2003 - Original SOLD

I have used a variety of media including watercolour, acrylic, pastels, texture media and collage to create this scene. To create the 'lacey' surf I have used machine embroidery on water soluble fabric.
